Imag-In(E) a Silent World

In an utopian world, all emotions, even the most deepest and most intimate feelings, would spontaneously appear at the surface of our body, mirroring our soul and communicate to the outside world an outward image of our inner self.

Cognis and Laboratoires Sérobiologiques have imagined such an idealistic world where cosmetics open the way to a pure communication. In addition to today’s understanding of cosmetic functions, cosmetics can express our different emotions by using skin and hair as a link between our internal reality and our surrounding environment: „Pride out of a shampoo, „happiness out of cream“.  Beyond functionality, cosmetics would be used to rediscover how it feels to release all emotions we keep inside, how to simply express ourselves, how to communicate and how to share.
