Delios
MCT-oils are an interesting class of special vegetable oils with interesting physical and metabolic properties. They are produced from coconut and palm kernel oil by esterification of the fractionated caprylic and capric acid.
Medium Chain Triglycerides are better digestible compared to normal vegetable oils with long chain fatty acids and can even be absorbed without being hydrolysed in the gut. Therefore MCT-oils are well recognized in infant and medical nutrition.
Compared to other oils they are not stored as fat deposit in the adipose tissue but used as a quick energy supply. Due to this reason MCT-oils are gaining more interest in sports nutrition as a high calorie source for training and exercise.
Covitol Natural Source Vitamin E Vitamin E, an essential nutrient, is one of nature’s most powerful free radical quenchers-and the body’s principal fat-soluble antioxidant.
